I found this cd at walmart and was hesitant at first but because it was so cheap I figured what the hell.I'm glad I did, this is one of the most beautiful cds I have ever heard.the cd starts off kind of slow with the first 3 songs, but once you get from tracks 4 on the cd is incedible,I just love "Butterflies" and "heaven can wait" the most, this is a very underated cd and I hope this one gets the cult following it deserves.some songs are kind of Eerie but I like Eerie.
Noone will "EVER" adapt to the changing media as he has. I recently discovered "INVINCIBLE" and I'm overjoyed and sooooooo blessed with this collection of Michael Jackson's always "evolving" talent. The decade of 2000-2009 was a challenge. We are FORTUNATE to live in the same "time and space" with a GENIUS and EXTRAORDINARY talent like MICHAEL. INVINCIBLE is WONDERFUL. I have adored him since 1968 and I own vinyl albums, 8 track tapes, cassettes , DVD's, and C.D.'s. If you have not bought this C.D.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~do so IMMEDIATELY~~~~~and "fall in LOVE" with his voice/essence/nature.~~ asante Mr. JACKSON~~
While there were some songs that were interesting like You Rock My World, and the somber Cry, which I found it being Michael's final video hard to watch, seeing people holding hands without a single glance of Michael's image. But when he was out there, he was trying to re-deliver after being dogged from heartbreak from his 2nd marriage ending, the fallout that continued from his child molestation charges, and sadness that drove deep in the soul. Nevertheless, what is so hard about that isn't just the fact that he was so inspiring to music and dance, but he always made so many people happy. All in all, what Michael got out of it was a lot of sadness at the end, with accusing then Sony C.E.O.
But when it was back in 2001, Michael was celebrating what was his 30th anniversary with celebrations and a highly publicized concert in New York City. It is honestly so hard for a lot of Michael Jackson fans to believe that it has nearly been 7 months since his tragic death. The song was good, but it wasn't as strong as his earlier classsics. If you've been a hard core fan of Michael Jackson's for years and just re-discovered him because of his death, than this honestly would be a good listen to. That also showed to why his music wasn't so strong on his final album.Michael Jackson's final album, 2001's Invincible is honestly his weakest record period.
The rest of the album focuses in trying to be more an R&B sound on tracks like Heaven Can Wait, the driven Butterflies, and the weak Break Of Dawn. Otherwise, stick with his other records like Thriller, Bad or Off The Wall. When people found out that he somberly passed away back in June, his catalog as well as The Jackson 5's catalog was sold in overdrive. Tommy Mattola of racism, and failing to give him more promotion for his music, including a never-released charity single for September 11th victims called What More Can I Give, that never saw the light of day. With everything Michael Jackson went through afterwards from a gut-wrenching child molestation trial, and issues of his finances in the public eye, to what would become a return to performing with This Is It that didn't happen, it honestly is so hard to know why this was it for Michael Jackson. While he wasn't able to get the promotion that he wanted not just from the album, but for his return to the music scene.
The collection of songs is not very strong to hear, as he tried to bring in more of a Hip Hop and Soul driven vibe on the album, with tracks that felt like they were a mixed bag of tricks than a strong strike he had shown before. While Invincible was not his best record and his last one, it truly was not a great album as what you could've expected from the late King Of Pop. While Michael rocked the world for many fans, it just wasn't meant to be here.Album Cover: BSongs: C 1/2-Price: CMastering: COverall: C
It has a little bit of everything. I can't believe this is Michael's lowest selling album. It's fantastic. I love each and every song. Definitely a "must" buy.
Please listen to the songs in this album. We tend to have our eyes caught on his eccentric behavior or stories around his unreasonable death. They are well composed, arranged and sang by Michael Jackson. But we should never forget that he was a great singer and dancer and composer. As everybody feels, because of unprecedented sales of "Thriller", his subsequent albums was unable to get as much attention as it was supposed to. It really brings his soul and attitude to entertain people. I really feel sorry for his death and sad when I think we will never be able to hear his new songs any more.
